Wedding Prints & Framing Melbourne
Signed archival prints from your gallery, framed in Australian timber, made to order and delivered ready to hang. The photo you keep opening on your phone, on a wall, at a size that stops people mid-sentence. From $90.
Two percent
Couples spend more on photography than any generation before them, then never print a single frame. Of every photo on a phone, about two percent ever makes it onto a wall.
Your favourite photo deserves better than a phone screen and an Instagram grid. It deserves a hallway, or the wall above the bed, or your parents' living room, at a scale where the light in it does what it did on the day.
What a signed print is
Every print I offer is made from your final edited gallery, checked by me against the file it came from, printed on archival cotton paper with pigment inks, then signed on the front and labelled on the back with your names, the date and the venue.
That last part matters more than it sounds. In forty years someone will take it out of the frame, and the back will tell them exactly what it is. A lab print from a chemist tells them nothing and will have yellowed by then anyway.
Signed Fine Art Prints, from $90
A4 is $90, A3 is $150, and A2 is $250.
A4 suits shelves and bedside tables. A3 holds a hallway. A2 is the one that stops guests mid-sentence in your living room. Archival paper and inks mean the print will not fade or shift the way lab prints do, which matters when the photo needs to outlast the anniversaries still ahead of you.
Framed Prints in Australian Timber, from $240
Framing is where most printed photos go wrong: a cheap frame, reflective glass and a finish that fights the photo.
Mine are hand-finished Australian timber with an acid-free mat and UV-protective glazing, so the print is shielded from Melbourne sun and the frame disappears into the image the way it should. Framed A4 is $240, A3 is $380, and A2 is $595, delivered ready to hang with the hook already on the back.
The Print Box, $650
Twenty matted prints in a handcrafted keepsake box. This is the option for couples who cannot pick one image, which is most couples.
You get to hold your gallery in your hands, rotate favourites into frames around the house, and hand a stack across the table when family visits. It behaves like an album you can rearrange, and the mats mean any print drops into a standard frame at any point.
The Folio Box, from $750
The gallery-grade version. Ten to fifteen matted prints in a presentation folio box, curated as a set so the collection tells the story of the day rather than sampling it.
The difference from the Print Box is the curation and the box: a sequence chosen to be seen in order, in a box made to be opened in company. It quietly becomes a lifetime supply of anniversary gifts.
Choosing what to print
You do not have to decide alone. After your gallery is delivered I am happy to suggest the images that print best, because the photo that wins on a phone is not always the photo that wins at A2. Big prints reward quiet moments, clean light and space around the subject, which is a lot of what I shoot in the first place.
Tell me the wall and I will tell you the size. A hallway wants A3. A wall you sit opposite wants A2.
Why not just print it yourself?
You can, and for the fridge door you should.
What you are paying for here is the checking, the paper, the ink, the signature and the frame, and the fact that the print on your wall in twenty years will match the file I delivered. A consumer lab print fades, shifts colour and flattens the tones your gallery was edited for. An A2 frame alone, done properly with real glazing and a mat, costs more than most people expect. This is that, done once, done right, and hung the day it arrives.
Frequently asked questions
Can we print any image from our gallery?
Yes. Any image in your final edited gallery can be printed, framed, or added to a box. If you are unsure which will look best at size, ask and I will guide you.
How long do prints take?
Allow two to three weeks for prints and framing, as everything is made to order rather than pulled from stock.
Do you ship outside Melbourne?
Yes. Prints and boxes ship Australia-wide. Framed pieces are packed carefully for transit, though local delivery is simplest for the largest sizes.
Can we order prints years later?
Yes, as long as you still have your gallery, and if you ordered prints from me I keep the print-ready file on hand. Anniversaries are the most common reason people come back.
Do prints and an album go together?
Naturally. The album is the story of the day. The print is the one frame from it that lives on the wall. Most couples who do one end up doing both.
Put it on the wall
Prints and framing can be ordered any time after your gallery is delivered. Send me a note and I will help you choose what to print, no pressure at all.
